ELLA is a ten-month old medium sized pointer cross, and in her previous life was only allowed off her chain for odd moments when the children wanted to "play" with her! She is very pretty and has no hang-ups. Also she is very loving, extremely playful and intelligent. She adores people and children, but would be best suited as being a solo dog. Can you give Ella another chance at a happy life? (D397)

This is JOSIE. She was "thrown" over the fence into an enclosed garden of a holiday home belonging to German people living in an urbanisation near Oliva (Tossal Gros, La font). This isn't an uncommon occurance up in Tossal Gros as there are a lot of well-healed foreigners living there.

Josie is 5/6 months old, has been checked over by a vet. Her rescuers would be willing to pay/help pay for Josie to be sterilised once adopted. They cannot keep her and are flying back to Germany in 2 months time.

Josie will be a biggish dog. She is very gentle and wants to please. she's good with the rescuers small terrier who apparently isn't very nice to her! If you can give Josie a new start in life, please contact Pat on 96 283 3325.

CONGUITO was found abandoned in Castello de Rugat around 14th May. He's been named Conguito by Bar Benicadel, who are currently fostering him. 

It's suspected he's been shut in a shed or outbuilding for most of his life but had fed well enough. A local vet has estimated that Conguito is about 6-7 months old. He's now been wormed and will be given his 'puppy' jabs and other necessaries as soon as possible. Conguito has no problem with cats and is a very quiet and affectionate dog. Would very much suit someone with an apartment.

Can some kind person can help Conquito enjoy a life far different to that he's had so far?(D.521)

AMY is a small bitch about 18 months old and was found with her two pups (Bella & Sherry below). Her finder says she is a darling: loving and just wants to please.She is a small sized dog. Amy is about 18 months old. (D523)

BELLA & SHERRY were found with their mother (Amy above). They are both bitches and about 5 weeks old. Bella is the lighter of the two pups. Neither Bella or Sherry look as if they will be any bigger than their mum. Can you give either of these adoreable little pups a better chance at a new life?(D524 & D525 )

UPDATE - SHERRY HAS BEEN ADOPTED

Pet was found in some outbuildings recently.  He was hungry and weak but otherwise OK. His finder has fed and sheltered him but, unfortunately, is unable to offer him a permanent home. Pet is a good natured, affectionate and friendly little dog who would make someone an ideal pet. His finder has taken him to the vet to have him checked over and has had him de-wormed. NELLIE and SONNY are mother (about 12-18 months old) and son (about 4 months old). These 2 small dogs were found abandoned in house near Alzira. Nellie is thought to be a rough haired Jack Russell, has lovely temperament and stands about 13" high at the shoulder. Sonny is thought to be a Jack Russell X and is expected to be a little bigger than his mum when fully grown; he too has a lovely temperament and his finder thinks he would make a good house dog. Can you offer a home to either (or both) of this lovely pair? (D434 & D435)

JODI was found near to starvation on one of the main highways early in the New Year, apparently yet another victim of, “We don’t want her anymore, so let’s throw her out!”   Now that she has had some real TLC from her caring foster carer, she is fully recovered. Jodi is about a year old, and is really is a smashing dog: obedient, happy, loving and wants to please. She loves other dogs and is never aggressive when playing. She's small/medium sized and shouldn't grow any more.  This pretty little girl is a terrier cross of medium size.  But, like all those other abandoned dogs, she needs the stability of a permanent home, so please find it in your heart to think about Jodi.
